Current high school students who will complete their sophomore, junior, or senior year by summer 2026 are eligible to apply for California College of the Arts – Pre-College, a summer program for young creatives to develop their skills and experience what it鈥檚 like to attend college in our supportive, inspiring community. Priority applications are due February 24, 2026, and the application is open until June 10, 2026.
Pre-College students will have the opportunity to:
- Earn three college credits
- Learn from expert faculty instructors
- Develop art and design portfolio pieces for college applications
- Meet other art-minded makers and designers
- Live on campus in San Francisco
Students select one subject area to focus on during the course of the summer:
- Animation & Drawing (2D)
- Communication Design
- Digital Animation (3D)
- Architecture & Interior Design
- Ceramics, Sculpture, and Textiles
- Comics
- Fashion Design
- Film & Photography
- Game Arts & Design
- Illustration & Drawing
- Industrial & Product Design
- Jewelry Making & Metal Arts
- Painting & Drawing
- UI/UX Interaction Design
