Founded in 2006, Veritas Scholars Academy (VSA) is the world鈥檚 first K鈥�12 classical Christian online school. VSA equips young men and women to think clearly with discernment and understanding, to reason persuasively and articulate precisely, to evaluate their experiences through a biblical lens, and to do so with eagerness and in joyful service to God, whatever their calling.
VSA has more than 160 teachers and 10,000+ students. Two-thirds of VSA鈥檚 faculty hold advanced degrees. A great benefit of taking online courses with Veritas is that it鈥檚 a global school! We have both teachers and students who are from all over the world. Discussing important matters in a class like Omnibus with students and teachers who live in various regions of the United States and in other countries affords a unique experience that students in a traditional school setting simply do not have.
In a LIVE course teachers and students meet together in real time for an interactive learning experience. Classes meet two times a week. Students complete assignments outside of class throughout the week in preparation for the live class meetings. On average, a student enrolls in 5 to 7 live classes during an academic year. Nevertheless, there are minimum requirements: two live courses for the Associate Track, three for the Standard Track, and four for the Honor and Highest Honors Track.
The Three Types of Courses Offered by Veritas Scholars Academy
1) Live Courses
In a LIVE course teachers and students meet together in real time for an interactive learning experience. Classes meet two times a
week. Students complete assignments outside of class throughout the week in preparation for the live class meetings. On average, a
student enrolls in 5 to 7 live classes during an academic year. Nevertheless, there are minimum requirements: two live courses for the
Associate Track, three for the Standard Track, and four for the Honor and Highest Honors Track.
2) Self-Paced
A SELF-PACED course is an asynchronous course. Asynchronous learning allows the student to take online courses on their own schedule. The lessons can be started and stopped at any time. The first three levels of Omnibus are available in the self-paced format.
3) You Teach Diploma
A YOU TEACH DIPLOMA (YTD) course is a course completed under the supervision of a parent. The course must be completed during the regular academic year鈥擩une to May. Requirements for YTD courses are similar to the Live course. Assessments are taken as online graded or teacher graded exams, quizzes, and midterm and final exams. No teaching or tutoring by VSA is included; however, comments and recommendations may be given as appropriate. Courses use the approved VSA curriculum.

Each year, there is an enrollment fee based on your grade and聽.
Grammar School:
Classic Level – $449 Premium Level – $599
Secondary School:
Classic Level – $629 Premium Level – $729
Course Tuition
Each student will take roughly six courses each year in secondary school.
