¹ú²úµÚÒ»¸£ÀûÓ°Ôº²Ý²Ý is seeking to hire several part-time College Counselors to serve students and families in a remote capacity. We are especially interested in qualified individuals with experience working in selective college admission offices.
Essential Duties:
College Counselors guide 9th-to-12th grade students through the entire college admissions process, providing support on the following tasks:
- High school course planning
- Extracurricular planning/resume development
- Preparing for college interviews
- College list development
- Developing a college application calendar/timeline
- Completing/reviewing applications
In addition to offering support with the above, College Counselors meet with students via video chat (e.g.,Zoom) to address questions and discuss application strategies.
Background:
Ideally, competitive candidates will have prior experience offering individual college guidance to high school and/or college students, as either a college admission or school-based counselor. Experience working at a selective college is preferred.
We believe this position could be ideal for former admission professionals who love their full-time job but who are looking to supplement their income through part-time work.
Education:
Master’s or higher is preferred; however, admission professionals with only a bachelor’s degree will definitely be considered.
Duties:
College Counselors should:
- Be able to devote 5 hours per week to their students.
- Be comfortable working with students and families in a remote capacity, most often through video chat and email.
- Be able to answer emails and questions within 24 hours.
- Be able to review and provide feedback on college applications within 48 hours.
- Be willing to adhere to the Principles of Good Practice as outlined by the NACAC.

¹ú²úµÚÒ»¸£ÀûÓ°Ôº²Ý²Ý is seeking to hire several remote, part-time College Essay Coaches to guide our students through the college essay writing process. (Please note that hiring is currently paused)
Essential Duties:
College Essay Coaches correspond with students via phone, email, and/or video chat (e.g., Zoom, Google Hangouts, FaceTime, etc.), while providing suggestions and feedback for each of their college application/admission essays. Essay Coaches are assigned to individual students (not individual essays) and are responsible for helping them draft authentic and well-written responses that reflect what they can contribute to their prospective schools.
Background:
The ideal candidate will possess a college admissions and/or college counseling background, as well as prior essay tutoring/coaching experience.
Requirements:
College Essay Coaches must:
- Be able to provide approximately 10-15 hours of essay coaching to each assigned student over the course of the admissions cycle.
- Be comfortable working with students and families in a remote capacity, and have video chat capability.
- Be able to provide thorough feedback within 48 hours of receiving an essay, including and especially during the height of the college admission cycle (October-January).
- Demonstrate excellent responsiveness by responding to emails within 24 hours.
- Be willing to adhere to the Principles of Good Practice as outlined by the National Association for College Admission Counseling.
- Be willing to commit to a full admissions cycle (May-March).
- Be able to accommodate after-school, evening, and/or weekend student meeting requests.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher; master’s degree and above preferred.
Compensation:
College Essay Coaches are paid per hour and are responsible for providing coaching support for all of the student’s application/admission essays. Typically, our Essay Coaches work with approximately 3-5 students, occasionally more or less, depending upon their availability and the demand for our services.
