The following list is filled with 50 active and vetted scholarships for Hispanic students, with deadlines throughout the summer and the next academic year.

We recommend making a note of the scholarships that fit your own profile as a student, and creating a calendar to plan out your applications. Most importantly: you can’t receive any of these scholarships if you don’t apply! So don’t count yourself out—it’s only when you take a chance on yourself, that you can reap the benefits!

Below, you’ll find scholarships for Hispanic students of all kinds, including specific scholarships for Hispanic women, for students attending HACU and HSI institutions, for students with DACA status, and for Hispanic/Latino students across academic disciplines and degree programs. Scholarships for Hispanic Students: Upcoming Deadlines

The following scholarships for Hispanic students have application deadlines this spring or summer. You’ll find the award amount, deadline, and quick facts about eligibility requirements under each scholarship. You can follow the links for more information and access to the application portals.

1) 

• Amount: up to $1,500
• Deadline: May 11th, 2025
• Details: For rising college freshmen, majoring in music. This scholarship fund is run by women of color and was created specifically without any disqualifying requirements.

2) 

• Amount: $5,000 or $10,000
• Deadline: May 15th, 2025
• Details: For Latino and/or Black students enrolled in an MSW (Master of Social Work) program in NY or CT. Must be Connecticut residents with demonstrated financial need.

3) 

• Amount: $1,000
• Deadline: May 23rd, 2025
• Details: For Puerto Rican / Hispanic women who are current undergraduate students. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. This scholarship is also open to residents of Puerto Rico.

4) 

• Amount: up to $24,000 ($4,000/semester, renewable)
• Deadline: May 30th, 2025
• Details: For Latino/Hispanic undergraduate students who have a record of community service involvement. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference is given to applicants with demonstrated financial need.

5) 

• Amount: up to $10,000
• Deadline: May 31st, 2025
• Details: For minority students with demonstrated financial need who are enrolled in an accredited college or university and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. For a Bright Future sponsors several distinct scholarships for different areas of study (STEM, education, healthcare, and creative arts) as well as for veterans, families of veterans, single parents, and children of single parents.

6) 

• Amount: $3,425
• Deadline: May 31st, 2025
• Details: For undergraduate students attending a four-year HACU-member institution (Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities) in the US or Puerto Rico, majoring in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Recipients are expected to attend a leadership conference (expenses are paid as a part of the scholarship).

7) 

• Amount: $5,000
• Deadline: May 31st, 2025
• Details: For undergraduate and graduate students attending a two- or four-year HACU-member institution, and pursuing degrees that will lead to careers as clinical professionals (including but not limited to: physician, PA, nurse, dentist, clinical psychologist, pharmacist, social worker, addiction counselor, etc.). Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and have at least one year of study left at the time of application.

8) 

• Amount: $3,000
• Deadline: May 31st, 2025
• Details: For undergraduate and graduate students attending a HACU-member institution, who have at least two years remaining in their degree program. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. This scholarship program is sponsored by the American Red Cross, and as a part of the program, students are trained to organize and host blood drives on their campus.

9) 

• Amount: $1,000-$1,500
• Deadline: June 15th, 2025
• Details: For minority undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need who are studying chemical engineering. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and must be a member of AIChE (free to join for undergraduate students).

10) 

• Amount: up to $6,000 ($500-$1,500/year, renewable)
• Deadline: June 20th, 2025
• Details: For minority women who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program studying a sports-related field (e.g. sports medicine, sports management, journalism, communications, marketing, psychology, etc.). Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants have to be either a student member of MWIS or be nominated by a professional member.

• Deadline: June 30th, 2025
• Details: For first-generation undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled at a four-year HACU-member institution in the US or Puerto Rico. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

• Amount: $5,000
• Deadline: June 30th, 2025
• Details: For undergraduate students attending a two- or four-year HACU-member institution and majoring in STEM or business-related fields. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants are required to attest that they can remain in the US after graduation and intend to pursue their career in the US.

13) 

• Amount: $5,000
• Deadline: June 30th, 2025
• Details: For undergraduate students attending either the University of Nevada Las Vegas or the University of North Texas Denton, majoring in hospitality or interested in pursuing a career in hospitality. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

14) 

• Amount: $5,000
• Deadline: not yet posted (usually late July to early August)
• Details: For Latino/Hispanic undergraduates who are rising sophomores or juniors interested in pursuing a career in media or the entertainment industry (all majors welcome). Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

15) 

• Amount: $5,000
• Deadline: not yet posted (application opens in late spring)
• Details: For BIPOC undergraduate or graduate students studying planning (e.g. urban and regional planning, urban studies, geography, political science, architecture, etc.) and who intend to pursue a career as a practicing planner. Must demonstrate financial need. The APA hosts several scholarships with slightly varying eligibility criteria.

Planning Ahead: More Scholarships for Hispanic Students

These scholarships for Hispanic students have deadlines during the next academic year. Some of them are larger four-year awards geared toward high school seniors, but a good number of them are for undergraduate students as well. • Deadline: September (application opens in July)
• Details: For minority high school seniors from low-income households who plan to enroll full-time in a four-year college or university. Must have a GPA of 3.3 or higher and be Pell-eligible.

17) 

• Amount: up to $20,000 ($5,000/year for up to four years, and $2,000 individual awards)
• Deadline: September (application opens in summer)
• Details: For Hispanic/Latino graduate students pursuing studies in medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy, and public health fields. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate a desire to serve Hispanic communities.

18) 

• Amount: up to $50,000
• Deadline: October 20th, 2025
• Details: For Latino and/or Black string musicians (violin, viola, cello, double bass). There are two competition divisions, one for musicians under 18, and one for musicians from 18-30.

• Amount: $5,000 at minimum
• Deadline: October 31st, 2025
• Details: For BIPOC undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a teacher-preparation program at a college or university in Connecticut.

• Amount: $750

• Details: For BIPOC women or gender non-conforming undergraduate students attending college in the US. This scholarship is geared towards students who are “actively working to change the world.”

21) 

• Amount: Varies (up to $10,000)

• Details: For Native American students (open to all Native peoples from anywhere in the Americas, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and indigenous Pacific Islanders) studying or working in the fields of archaeology, museum studies, and/or cultural preservation. The SAA hosts several scholarships with different eligibility criteria, including those for undergraduates, graduate students, and Native American women.

• Deadline: November (application opens in fall)
• Details: For Hispanic/Latino high school seniors or undergraduate students who will be enrolled full-time at a two- or four-year institution for the following academic year after application. Must have demonstrated financial need. DACA/undocumented students are welcome to apply.

• Amount: up to $3,500
• Deadline: November (application opens in fall)
• Details: For high school seniors of Hispanic heritage (including Spain, Brazil, and the Philippines) planning to attend a higher education institution upon graduation. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Grants are awarded in the areas of Community Service, Education, Engineering, Entrepreneurship & Business, Green Sustainability, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Public Service & Social Justice, and Technology.

24) 

• Amount: $2,500
• Deadline: December (application opens in June)
• Details: For diverse/underserved undergraduate students with less than two years left in their degree program at the time of application. Students can be full- or part-time, attending two- or four-year colleges or vocational/technical schools. Must be in good academic standing (GPA of 2.75 or higher) but have an outstanding financial need or emergency that puts them at risk of not completing their degree program.

25) 

• Amount: $10,000
• Deadline: January (application opens in November)
• Details: For minority graduate or upper-level undergraduate students in the US or Canada, who are pursuing studies in preparation for a career in state/local government finance (e.g. public administration, finance, political science, economics, business administration, etc.).

• Amount: up to $35,000
• Deadline: January 9th (application opens in September)
• Details: For minority high school seniors with demonstrated financial need. Must demonstrate a record of academic excellence and a commitment to community service. This merit-based scholarship also includes mentoring, job placement, and a community service requirement.

27) 

• Amount: Varies (up to $2,500)
• Deadline: not yet posted (application opens November 3rd)
• Details: Scholarship for Hispanic/Latino high school seniors or community college transfer students planning to enroll full-time at a four-year college or university. Must be a first-generation college student and must live in Orange County, California. Undocumented students are welcome to apply.

28) 

• Amount: up to $39,000
• Deadline: February (application opens in November)
• Details: For undocumented immigrant students with or without DACA or TPS who came to the US before age 16 and before November 2019. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and must be eligible to receive in-state tuition in their home state but still have significant unmet financial need. Scholarships are available for a list of Partner Colleges (see link for more information and full list).

29) 

• Amount: up to $100,000
• Deadline: February (application opens in November)
• Details: For undocumented immigrant students who live in states where they have effectively no access to college (i.e. “locked-out states”), either because they don’t qualify for in-state tuition, or their state will not admit them at all. These students are eligible for scholarship support to attend a Partner College in another state (see link for more information and list of schools).

30) 

• Amount: $2,500-$20,000
• Deadline: February (application opens in November)
• Details: For immigrants or children of immigrants who are high school seniors graduating from a New York City high school and who will enroll full-time at a two- or four-year college or university upon graduation. Applicants can be of any ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status.

31) 

• Amount: up to $18,000 ($6,000/year, renewable)
• Deadline: February (application opens in December)
• Details: Scholarship for Latino and Hispanic undergraduate students in their third or fourth year, who are majoring in a STEM field. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have demonstrated financial need.

32) 

• Amount: Varies ($500-$5,000)
• Deadline: February (application opens in January)
• Details: Scholarship for Hispanic high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students who are enrolled in a four-year college, university, or graduate school for the coming academic year. High school seniors must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and undergrads/grad students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. HSF Scholars receive career services, mentorship, and leadership development, in addition to need-based scholarships awarded directly to students.

• Deadline: February (application opens in February)
• Details: For high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students pursuing degrees in a STEM field. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and be an active member of SHPE (applicants can join to apply). SHPE hosts a number of scholarships with different criteria, including regional affiliations and STEM sub-fields.

• Amount: Varies (up to $100,000)
• Deadline: March (application opens in the fall)
• Details: For Hispanic and Latino high school seniors who plan to attend a two- or four-year college, university, vocational or technical school. Must have a GPA of 2.8 or higher and demonstrate financial need. US citizens, permanent legal residents, and DREAMER/DACA recipients are eligible.

• Amount: $5,000
• Deadline: March (application opens in September)
• Details: For BIPOC students who are attending or plan to attend a graduate program in library and information studies, either full- or part-time. Scholars also receive ALA membership and attendance expenses for the ALA Annual Conference.

• Amount: up to $5,000
• Deadline: March (application opens in November)
• Details: For underrepresented high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college or university after graduation, and who will be first-generation college students. Applicants do not need to be US citizens, but they must graduate from a US high school and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Scholarships are awarded to students planning to study in a specific range of areas (see link for full list).

37) 

• Amount: $1,500-$2,000
• Deadline: March 31st (application opens in January)
• Details: For Latina/Chicana undergraduate or graduate students attending college, university, or community college in Northern California. Undergraduates must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher and graduate students must have a GPA of 2.7 or higher. This is one of only a few scholarships for Hispanic women specifically.

• Amount: Varies (up to $7,500)
• Deadline: March (application opens in January)
• Details: For high school seniors or current undergraduates pursuing (or planning to pursue) a degree in preparation for a career as an actuary. Applicants are considered on the basis of academic excellence, exam progress, work experience, and leadership. Certain scholarships will also come with a guaranteed actuarial internship.

• Amount: up to $5,000
• Deadline: March (application opens in January)
• Details: For high school seniors, undergraduates, or graduate students studying in a technology-related field. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students who are US citizens, permanent legal residents, or who have DACA status are eligible to apply.

• Deadline: April (application opens in October, earlier submissions may be ranked higher)
• Details: For Hispanic/Latino high school seniors who are Florida residents and either US citizens or eligible non-citizens. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have demonstrated financial need. Recipients are eligible to renew if they retain their GPA and full-time status.

• Amount: Varies ($12,500 to full four-year tuition costs)
• Deadline: April (application opens in December)
• Details: For young musicians (17-25) with a passion for Latin music who have been accepted to a college or university to study music. The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation hosts a number of scholarships of different levels, including full-tuition scholarships at several specific music schools and tuition assistance awards for the music program of your choice.

• Details: For autistic students of color pursuing education at any kind of postgraduate institution (including two- and four-year colleges, vocational/technical or trade schools, and postgraduate life skills programs). Finalists are required to provide proof of diagnosis (although this isn’t required to submit the initial application).

• Details: For bilingual (Spanish/English) undergraduate students pursuing degrees in healthcare, particularly nursing. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate financial need.

In addition to this roundup of scholarships for Hispanic students, we recommend searching for awards that are most aligned with your personal experience and educational goals. The more specific a scholarship’s eligibility, the more likely you are to be a good-fit candidate!

We also suggest researching local opportunities with your school district or university, as well as organizations in your town, county, and state. These kinds of local scholarships tend to be in smaller amounts, but the pools of eligible applicants are smaller as well.
