About Us
Broadreach programs center on one of five specializations: scuba diving, sailing, marine biology, veterinary medicine, or conservation. In addition, certain programs are land-based and others are liveaboard.
Broadreach’s mission is to challenge and inspire participants to learn, grow, build new skills and become better global citizens through hands-on discovery, travel and interaction with the world’s oceans, ecosystems and wildlife. As such, students can expect to develop knowledge in a particular field while having the freedom to explore their curiosities. An example of conservation in the Yucatan would allow students to work with locals collecting data to find solutions to threats facing our ocean ecosystems.
Groups are kept intentionally small (approximately twelve students). Moreover, all students who attend these summer travel programs for high school students participate in some level of academic coursework, including journals, discussions, research projects, and exams, and can receive college credit for some programs.
