About Us

The Wake Forest Online Immersion Program, designed for high school students ages 13 and up, has been created to help you explore subjects you’re considering taking in college. It offers exciting topics, covered in-depth, through online coursework led by Wake Forest University professors. The program is available year-round, and the online format allows you to study anywhere, anytime, while working at your own pace. This flexibility enables you to take multiple courses and discover a variety of academic areas of interest.

All courses culminate in a Final Capstone Project that allows students to demonstrate what they’ve learned in the program. Upon successful completion of a course, students will earn a Certificate of Completion from Wake Forest University that can be added to their college application(s) and/or resume.

Business: Strategy & Innovation

How do you develop an effective business strategy? You learn from the best. This online course focuses on wildly successful companies such as Netflix and Apple to understand how they work. High school students learn the tools of innovation, how businesses create products, and how they compete. If technology, marketing or start-ups are your passion, this course is for you. You will hear from Dr. Dan Fogel, an award-winning Wake Forest professor and Lee Weiss, a Chief Executive, General Manager, and business expert through video and complete interactive projects.

Making the Rounds: An Insider鈥檚 Guide to Becoming a Doctor

Always wanted to be a doctor or pursue pre-med? Wake Forest鈥檚 online course is designed for high school students. You鈥檒l get an inside look at how physicians manage patient care from ambulance to ER to aftercare. Teaching the course are Wake Forest School of Medicine professors Dr. Lindsay Strowd and Dr. Roy Strowd. Through immersive simulations, videos and course assignments, you鈥檒l study the anatomy of the heart, what triggers a heart attack and how a treatment team works.
